The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the processing of your data and your rights under the applicable regulations on Personal Data Protection, and especially under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection. (“GDPR”).

For what purposes do we process your personal data?

The personal data you provide will be collected and processed for one or more of the purposes listed below:

  1. Manage its relationship as a beneficiary of the activities promoted by ALIPANC, such as:
      – Their participation in conferences, informative workshops, and in general activities promoted by ALIPANC.
      – To respond to requests for consultations or provision of services carried out by ALIPANC.
  2. To attend to your request.
  3. Periodically send commercial information about the activities and projects promoted by ALIPANC. Also, on occasion, the communications will be intended to inform you of activities and/or projects of third party collaborators of ALIPANCrelated to topics in which you have expressed interest.
  4. Manage your relationship as an ALIPANC volunteer.
  5. Manage your relationship as a member of ALIPANC.
  6. Manage its relationship as a collaborator or sponsor of ALIPANC.
  7. Manage your participation in events organized or promoted by ALIPANC in which you participate, such as:
      – Participation in popular solidarity races to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.
      – Participation as a stakeholder in the Carmen Delgado / Miguel Pérez-Mateo grant for research against pancreatic cancer.

What is the legitimacy for the processing of your data?

The legal basis for the processing of your data is your consent given explicitly through the acceptance of this privacy policy, as well as the need to comply with your possible business relationship, as a collaborator, volunteer, partner of the Association or the provision of services in your capacity as beneficiary of the activities developed by ALIPANC.

The legal basis for us to process your data depends on the purpose for which we process it as explained in the following table:

The acceptance of the privacy policy, implies your authorization to send electronic communications necessary to inform you of news related to ALIPANC. These communications will be made via cell phone (SMS) or e-mail address.
This authorization includes the sending of the following electronic communications:
Electronic bulletins (newsletters), information of interest on projects, campaigns and similar content. E-mails of information related to pancreatic cancer as well as news, projects and events organized and promoted by ALIPANC. The sending of these communications will be made in any case by ALIPANC, without third party companies have any access to the personal data of users except for those cases set out in the following paragraphs. ALIPANC establishes mechanisms through which you can deactivate the electronic communications services easily and free of charge, following the instructions indicated in the legal footer of the e-mails.

To which recipients will your data be communicated?

ALIPANC informs that, as a general rule, your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties unless there is a legal obligation, or prior authorization on your part.

However, certain initiatives are promoted jointly by ALIPANC and other organizations. In those cases, the participants and interested parties in such events, consent to the processing of data by both organizations, in order to coordinate the provision of the requested services. At the time of collecting your data, we will inform you of the identification data of both entities which will be Data Controllers, so you must exercise the rights conferred by law separately before any of these entities.

On the other hand, those ALIPANC service providers who perform functions related to the purposes of treatment described above, may have access to your personal data as Data Processors, for which ALIPANC guarantees that they will adopt the policies and measures for the Protection of Personal Data necessary for the proper treatment of these, namely:

Your personal data may be provided to:

  • Financial entities
  • Technology service providers
  • Logistics, transportation and delivery service providers and partners.
  • Accounting and tax service providers
  • Marketing service providers.

Due to service efficiency, some of the above-mentioned providers are located in territories outside the European Economic Area, such as the United States. In such cases, we inform you that we transmit your data with appropriate safeguards and always safeguard the security of your data.

In addition, your data may be communicated to public agencies, judges and courts and, in general, competent authorities, when ALIPANC has a legal obligation to provide them.

How long will we keep your data?

ALIPANC will keep your personal data only for the time necessary to carry out the purposes for which they were collected, as long as you do not revoke the consent given for that purpose, or for the time legally established.

In any case, only those personal data that are essential in compliance with the principle of data minimization, as provided for in Article 5 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, will be retained.

When the data is no longer needed, it will be deleted with appropriate security measures to ensure the pseudonymization of the data or the total destruction of the data.

Likewise, the period of conservation of your data will depend on the purposes for which we treat them, as explained below:

How do we treat your personal data in social networks?

ALIPANC also informs that through its social networks will be published events, events, programs or any other advertising information about the activities it develops, accepting the user to be the recipient of such information by the mere fact of becoming “friend” or follower” of ALIPANC in social networks. If the User does not wish to receive this information in their social network profiles, they should stop following ALIPANC.

What are your rights when you provide us with your personal data?

ALIPANC informs you that you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, limitation of treatment and not to be subject to automated individual decisions by contacting ALIPANC mailing address indicated in this Privacy Policy, or via e-mail info@asociacioncancerdepancreas.org indicating the right you wish to exercise and your identification data.

In the event that you consider that your request has not been met in accordance with the provisions contained in the applicable regulations on Data Protection, or there has been an infringement with respect to your personal data may direct the corresponding complaint to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

What security measures does ALIPANC adopt on your personal data?

ALIPANC to protect your personal data, informs you that it has implemented and applies the necessary technical and organizational security measures to prevent its loss, manipulation, dissemination or alteration, always in any case adapting them to the requirements established in the applicable regulations on the Protection of Personal Data.
